How to become an engineer?
THE LIFE OF AN ENGINEERING STUDENT IS ANYTHING BUT BORING.
In the classroom, in the field, in the laboratory, in teams, in companies: Engineering is anything but routine.
Mandatory Courses
To enroll in a university engineering program, you need to have passed the following courses or their equivalents:
- Mathematics NYA, NYB, NYC (or 103-77, 203-77, 105-77)
- Physics NYA, NYB, NYC (or 101, 201, 301)
- Chemistry NYA (or 101)
Then:
- Become a candidate to the engineering profession (CEP)
- Accumulate 24 months of relevant experience and acquire the skills you need for the profession;
- Pass the professional exam.
- Obtain your engineer’s permit.
After Cegep, university
You must earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering (at a recognized academic institution).
