What you will actually do

As a mechanical engineer, you’ll design, test, and optimize the machines and systems that keep the industrial world running.

  • Conduct feasibility, design, operation, and performance studies of mechanisms and systems.
  • Analyze the constraints (force, temperature, vibration, pressure) affecting mechanisms, machines, and installations.
  • Carry out applied research and computer simulations to solve mechanical design problems.
  • Contribute to design work and oversee the development of work plans, specifying materials and manufacturing methods.
  • Supervise testing of machine prototypes and pilot installations to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
