What you will actually do

As an operations and logistics engineer, you’ll solve complex problems using mathematical modelling and computer simulations.

Identify an organization’s planning or operational problems and gather relevant data.
Build a mathematical model to represent the problem using a set of equations.
Determine the appropriate methods and algorithms to solve the model.
Program and run the model using the selected solving methods.
Run computer simulations and interpret results to formulate recommendations.
