What you will actually do

As an operations and logistics engineer, you’ll solve complex problems using mathematical modelling and computer simulations.

  • Identify an organization’s planning or operational problems and gather relevant data.
  • Build a mathematical model to represent the problem using a set of equations.
  • Determine the appropriate methods and algorithms to solve the model.
  • Program and run the model using the selected solving methods.
  • Run computer simulations and interpret results to formulate recommendations.
